The Premiums page can change frequently. The following are your notification options. In general they are the easiest (and most invasive) to the most difficult (and least invasive) order:
Social Media - Just click on the Twitter or Facebook icons in the footer and like/follow the Florida Agility page. The premiums are generally posted automatically to the social media within a few minutes of appearing on the website.
Email - Every day at 6 am there is an email robot that will generate an email if any activity has occurred the previous twenty four hours. This would be my favorite since it is focused (no additional clutter to wade through). The following is the process
Click here (after you have completed reading the following steps)
You will be taken to a form to fill in. Enter your email address and optionally your name.Click on subscribe. If you do not provide a name, it will be addressed to Agility Enthusiast (a real name would make it less spammy). We once had a woman named Candy who only provided her first name. Guess who her emails were addressed to!
Receive email to confirm your email address (Check your spam folder if you do not receive it in a few minutes) Click on the link to confirm your email address.
Receive an email confirming your subscription
RSS Feed - This is the most anonymous of the options. I do not know who is subscribed or even how many are subscribed. The feed is used to feed the posts to social media and email. There are numerous news readers that will handle RSS feeds (blogs). Often, when a reader is offered on multiple platforms, they will sync between the various devices so you can pickup on a device where you left off on another device. I currently use Feedly on my Macs and iDevices (if you utilize this type of service they will have to keep track of the sites that you visit) Either click on this link or copy the feed link address.. If you have a reader on your system and it has told the system to route the request to it, it should be activated and you will be requested to add the feed to your news feeds. Otherwise, copy the link address and paste it into your news app. FEED LINK: http://floridagility.com/premiums/premiums-index.xml
Visit the Premium Index page frequently. Like the RSS feed, I do not know who visits the page.
The list of premiums has been expanded to twenty per page (versus 10 per page). If you filter the list by venue, AKC will take 2-3 pages, CPE will take 1-2 pages and the rest a single page. The list is sorted by posting date with the most recently posted at the top.
Premiums — Index
The Premium index is organized by the posting date with the most recent posts at the top of the list for those that use the page to get premiums for recently published trials. The title format is YYYY-MM-DD-VENUE-ORG. The date is the first day of the event. VENUE is AKC, CPE,etc. ORG is the name of the club or organization hosting the trial. For seminars and other miscellaneous events, the VENUE will be replaced with something like SEMINAR, FUN-RUN, etc and the ORG will be replaced with some descriptive text.
Clicking on the title will take you to a page with more information such as a link to the premium, the number of days, judges and other information appropriate to the venue or event type.
If you wish to view the trials in a chronological order, use the CALENDAR and click on the PREMIUM link (if it is available - trial status = 😀).
Each page will list up to 20 events. Use the filters to reduce the number of entries to look at. AKC trials will run 2-3 pages, CPE trials 1-2 pages and the remaining will fit in one page.
You can like/follow the Facebook page or Twitter(X) feed by clicking on the two icons to the right and taking the appropriate action when you get there.. If you would like to send an email click on the envelope
